Walnut and Hempseed Salad

A salad that is easy and quick to prepare, perfect for a lighter evening meal or as a side dish to your meal. Full of beta carotene, fibre, potassium, antioxidants and vitamin A. Remember to always finish your salad with a dash of olive oil to help your body absorb all the nutrients, and lemon juice to give the dish a more tangy flavour and adds acidity which makes the meal more balanced. 

  • half handful of walnut halves
  • 2 tbsp of hempseed
  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 1 carrot
  • a dash of olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice


  • Cut Granny Smith apples and a carrot into thin stripes.
  • Break walnut pieces into smaller chunks.
  • Mix  everything together.
  • Sprinkle with hempseed andour over a little bit of olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice and enjoy!
